I think I am All Caught Up!

This was for a Baby Shower!

First Official Wedding Cake!

My neighbor and I were hired to do this wedding cake. I have done a wedding cake for a class but never a REAL wedding. Most cakes layer are typically around 4 inches. However, this cake was REAL tall. Each layer is about 7 inches. The bottom layer is a 16 inch cake that weighed about 25-30 pounds. We estimated that the cake weighed in at about 50-60 pounds. It was a lot of fun because I got to try some new tools and techniques.

Fondant Cake!

This cake was from one of my cake classes a couple months ago. The board is covered in fondant and it adds a really clean and complete element to the design. Thank you Zak for taking the cake off my hand. Hope you enjoyed it.

Chicken Gorgonzola!

Trader Joe's has this frozen meal called Chicken Gorgonzola. Since Olive Garden has one of our favorite meals called Steak Gorgonzola, Jamie and I thought that we would give it a try.

We served it over a bed of whole wheat penne pasta and added grape tomatoes, sliced olives, and more gorgonzola. I was so good that we have added it to our list of rotations.

I know that I am a little late!

So Angela, Jamie and I took a Halloween cookie  class that showed us how to work with fondant as well as royal icing. Here are my master pieces.
